When we used two fingers to zoom in and out of pages in Safari 4, the onscreen response was very quick. By pushing four fingers toward the top of the touchpad, we were able to fling windows up toward the top of the screen, exposing a clean desktop. The multitouch gestures work smoothly, too. Like the 13-inch MacBook Pro, Apple's honed the design: we were able to effortlessly press down on the button without thinking about the fact that there's no dedicated touch button (nevermind two). At 4.0 x 3.0 inches, not only is this trackpad the largest we've ever tested, but is very low friction, too. Not only is the island-style keyboard well-spaced, but the keys themselves were comfortable to the touch, and were snappy in response.Īpple has also brought the same touchpad as on its other notebooks: it doubles as the touchpad and the touch button. However, that seems to be the only concession. Unlike the MacBook Pros, the MacBook's keyboard is not backlit some concessions have to be made for the price. This was noticeable when on our lap and much hotter than the previous generation, which only reached 97 degrees during the same test. The hottest area of the notebook was nearest the hinge on the bottom, which measured a whopping 120 degrees.

See the Apple Support article Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.įinally, if it’s one of those five digit codes messaging you, it’s unlikely to already be in your Contacts, and so, assuming your Mac and iPhone/iPad share the same Apple ID, it’s much easier to go do the block on the i-device. On your iOS or iPadOS device, block text messages without creating a new contact. Apple coyly admits this necessity as an innocent sounding Tip. Next, click on Safari tab in the top Menu-bar of your Mac and then click on Preferences option in the drop-down Menu. If not, you’ll have to ::omg:: add that number as a contact, navigate to it as in step #2 above, then block it. To completely disable the Messages app, click the Sign Out button next to your Apple ID under the Settings tab. In the Messages Preferences menu that appears, click the iMessage tab. One with a standard phone number might already be in your contacts. To do this, click Messages > Preferences from the menu bar at the top of your Mac’s screen. Assuming that your iPad only gets iMessages (and that’s what you’ve been trying to stop or disable), this should be just fine. Supported for macOS Lion and above, including. Export and copy messages and iMessages from your Mac as a PDF. Note that this will turn off all message alerts. Follow these steps to save and print conversations from the Messages app on a Mac.
